Cari amici Mito

Mi è stato offerto di acquistare questo glorioso 1994-1995 Mito SP.
Quanto dovrei offrire a pagare per questo?

Il motore è stato rinnovato di recente.

How many km does it have?
Does it come with original parts too (headlights, mirros, etc)?
Are you sure that it is sp version? Could be just a street version with "track suit" =P. A real official SP kit is expensive...
Fairings are in bad condition and, if I see well, the chassis is bumped too.

Do you have other pics and more information?

X-hide is right!! Control that is really an SP version (especially the engine, exaust...ecc) ;)
Unfortunately it looks not pretty good

Hi X-hide and Penna,

Thank you for answering.

The Mito should be an original race-bike, racing back then in Denmark and Sweden.
I have some more photo's of it - and a photo from the track.
See below.

I can get a box of engine parts, pistons and cylinders with the bike.
I don't think it comes with additional livery parts.

The looks are not great - and it needs som TLC and a bit of paint :)

You're welcome

To be honest it is quite in bad conditions and, as I can see, I think it hasn't an official sp kit but it is just a road version converted for track use (and I don't know what there is under the tank).
Be careful and check it well.

I don't know how is the market in Denmark but here... It worth less than 500 euro (imho), maybe I'd try with 300.
As well, if it is for track ok, but for road you are going to spend a lot of money on it (there are many things to fix).

How much does the owner ask for it?

You are welcome Carsten!! ;)

I agree just a bit with X-hide: yes, the condition of that bike seems not good but...the tank and the fairing are not too much expansive to replace (at any rate in Italy!!); the real worth should be UNDER the tank (cylinder: look at the serial number, you can identify if is a real SP engine!!), the exaust (I can not hep you, maybe X-hide can do it...or search on this site!!) and (maybe, I don't remember...) the wheels.
If is not an original SP should be very cheap...there are a lot of work to do!!

Finally, be shure that is a real SP, control all parts should have an SP version (I repeat on this site you can find many guide) ;)

Thank you for all the answers, guys.
Fantastic with a forum where you get so much feed back !

@X-hide: What makes you think it is a road version ?
The owner asks for 1,000-1,200 € in used/new racing car parts.
If it really is a racing version and the engine arts etc. are ok - what would it be worth?

@penna_85: I have asked the owner for the numbers. Do you know where the numbers are found on the bike?

@Diego: thanks for the input.

Front and rear supensions are the stardand version, exhaust and wheels too.
It seems just a normal Mito Ev 94/95.

You can check the number on the side of cylinder, just to be more sure (probably it'll be a traditional 73037 with a 200h head).
If you want you could check the carburetor too.

even the front brake disc doesn't look like to be an sp's one. The sp has different pins attached with the brake pad to made the disc completely floated, while that one is just a standard heavy mito disc brake.

It's probabably a mito ev like others, don't spend too much on it, 1200 euros could be a honest price if you colud get a lot of spare parts.
