a me pare un pò troppo grande come circonferenza quell'espansione, così, ad occhio e senza esperienza costruttiva di marmitte.
anyway a very good job jeram, we're impatiently waiting to see the exhaust chamber completed, and naturally the sound and riding of this little beast!

anche quella originale del 380 enduro o cross è così panciona, poi immagino questa avrà angoli o lunghezze diverse per meglio adattarsi alla guida di una stradale che di una fuoristrada, tanto i bassi non mancano te lo garantisco

It is road legal and will be very fun to ride!

The Exhuast was modeled extensively using EngMod2T software which was created by Queens University in Belfast.
The results were also verified using the Moto software.
The enhaust fabrication and modelling was carried out by the Two Stroke Institute.

The pipe seems bigger than the standard KTM 380 pipe simply because the KTM 380 pipe is too small!
That is why the standard ktm 380 only makes 47hp, and ours will hopefully make 65-75 with stock port timing.
Also keep in mind that the pipe is not finished, it still required the baffle cone, stinger and silencer finished

i have a mito rd 350cc you know, and i want to ask you how much cost you the complete engine 421cc from two stroke shop: do they sell also just the engine without the cilinders? because there are a lot of possibilities for that engine, not just the 421cc.
i juse saw thier site another time in my life. it's about 1600 dollars for the athena kit with head, crankshaft, pistons etc, and i asked them if they do the machining work to obtain best perfomances for this kit. also i asked them if tey sell engine cases new for banshee /rd without cilinders. let's see if they will answer me.

I bought this bike second had, the owner spend around 18000 dollars on parts and engineering labour to have the bike built. After it was finished he lost interest in the bike and decided to sell it to fund a classic corvette build.
He struggled to sell it for a few years, so I made him an offer and got the for a very good price.
421cc is the biggest you can go with the std crank cases which is why it is so popular.
for reliability reasons the two stroke shop has stopped using their 500cc cylinders and their 90 degree cranks.
Instead they now sell complete bikes, complete motors and engine kits for the 421cc format.
but yes, with a bottom end you could go crazy and install a 650cc cylinder from CPindustries (called the super WAMPUS yes?)
This motor has:
a ported Trinity 421cc cylinder
hot rods crank (+4mm stroker kit) and rods
Trinity CNCd head
Pistons with ceramic domes and low friction coated skirts
light weight flywheel and CNCd stator plate
fully rebuilt bottom end
Barnett billet clutch basket with new plates and hydraulic clutch mod
ignitech CDI unit
industrial Teflon coated engine cases which will be easy to keep clean!
heat dispersant cylinder coating
cnc'd engine covers
hand made cone pipes
PWK 36 air striker carbs
Vforce reeds
straight intake boots
The chassis is pretty std appart from wider 17 inch wheels.
So Ill be getting my friend to work on the forks (race tech parts) and install an R6 shock in the rear for me.
Then it will be the perfect sleeper, Appart from the blue engine cases it just looks like a standard 250cc bike!

the frame is not from an rd 350, right?
anyway they answer me, and they could send used engine banshee cases yet machined for the athena 421cc engine for a reasonable price.
on my rd 350 engine (65 x 54 should be a little more than 347cc) i mounted a complete hinson clutch with straight cut primary gear, with 8 friction discs instead of the std 7. now i have to test the bike and see if the clutch don't slipper anymore. my clutch it's designed to fit powers really higher than the original, i think it could support 100hp, and i hope it will work...!
i know Cp industries as well, they produce kit until 771.73cc for the banshee cases. i don't know instead the differences between a cheetah 65x54 and a wampus 65x54 and a lot o similar cilinders with same cc's but different names. maybe they're ported differently for a motorcycle use or a drag use? do you know more about that?

Thats my initial guess, but I will put it on a dyno in the next few months to see how it goes.
Cub cylinders have drag porting and now powervalve
cheetah cylinders have drag porting but have a powervalve for midrange power
wampus cylinders are cub cylinders which are made to look like OEM banshee cylinders
cylinders with the term SUPER as a prefix (SUPER CUB, SUPER CHEETAH etc) are larger bore sizes 500cc+
cylinders with the term SERVAL as a prefix (SERVAL CUB, SERVAL WAMPUS) are non PV motors which have more modest porting layouts for more usable power and more reliability.

As for the KTMito, it has been a little bit neglected, but I graduate from university in two weeks so hopefully my payrise will help pay for things to finish this bike off.
I will be able to afford to pay for labour for someone to machine parts for this bike instead of having to find time to do it myself.
